Off Road Adventure

Some of those old familiar 4×4 trails are calling your name, time for an off road adventure! Let’s gear up and head out for a little excursion into the wilderness.

Off Road Adventures Ahead

There is a playground of soupy, muddy bogs, downed trees from the heavy snow; and a plethora of 4×4 challenges just waiting to be discovered. It is definitely time to start putting together your off road adventure!

Check your local area for trails to explore, or take a look online for off-road parks and designated trails.

Plan Your Off Road AdventureTrip

Planning for a gentle ride in the countryside, or an extreme expedition; it pays to be prepared. Nature has a way of changing our plans, and being ready to adapt, can mean the difference between an exciting and enjoyable day, or fighting for your life.

Before heading out, do a quick check and see that you have everything you need for the off road adventure ahead; consider the following items:

Vehicle Checklist

The lists above offer suggestions; as you prepare for the journey ahead, you may think of other items as well. Double check before heading out, making sure you have the essentials.

Let Someone Know Where You Are Headed

It is also a good idea to let someone know where you plan on going; how long you expect to be gone, and when you plan on being back; do this even if it is only an “easy” ride.

The old saying: “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” applies here!

Keep a Record of Your Off Road Adventure

I would also suggest that you also find room for a compact journal to take along. Getting outdoors can be exhilarating; even inspirational, and having a place to record favorite places along the way, wildlife encounters, GPS way-points, and your thoughts of the day, can be of great value when you get home.

We can help with that. We have developed a, Off Road Journal; small enough to fit in your glove-box or back-pack, but with enough room to record every important step along the way.

We also have Adventure Journals for Day-Hiking, Fishing, and Camping
